Carnival Cruise Lines Planning a Limited Return to Service August 1st, 2020

Carnival Cruises says it is planning to resuming limited service beginning August 1. Due to  limited customer demand combined with operationalizing its new sterilization and shipboard cleansing policies - Carnival's August  start up will include 8 ships from the following ports: 
  • Galveston: Carnival Dream, Carnival Freedom and Carnival Vista.
  • Miami: Carnival Horizon, Carnival Magic and Carnival Sensation.
  • Port Canaveral: Carnival Breeze and Carnival Elation.
The balance of the  North American and Australian homeport cruises will be cancelled through August 31 and plans post 8/31 will be announced once determined.

Hopefully Carnival Cruises will return to New York in 2021 with the Carnival Magic.

Cunard Line's Queen Mary 2 Itinerary Modified to Drop Hong Kong Calls. Singapore Stops Added.

Cunard Line' Queen Mary 2 will sail an altered itinerary in Asia. Cunard Line Queen Mary 2 left New York on January 13, 2020 as part of a 113 day World Cruise. The current segment of this cruise is approaching a planned extended stay in Hong Kong. In late January, Cunard Line announced that the call by QM2 to Hong Kong on February 18/19 will be replaced replaced with a stay in Singapore. A statement from the line read: "We are currently looking at the impact of travel restrictions due to Corona virus and our imminent ports of call in China and Hong Kong for Queen Mary 2 and Queen Elizabeth world voyages. "We have made the decision to cancel Queen Mary 2 call to Hong Kong on February 18/19 and replace it with Singapore on the same dates. Cunard's Queen Elizabeth Makes a Unique Call in New York City as part of a Repositioning Cruise from Vancouver Last week also presented another unique visitor to New York City. Cunard's Queen Elizabeth made a call at the New York Cruise Terminal for a day to allow her passengers to enjoy a day in the Big Apple. Arriving in New York at around 5:00 AM, the Queen Elizabeth spent a full 12 hours in port - allowing her passengers to explore. The Queen Elizabeth called in New York City on 49 Day Cruise From Vancouver British Columbia Canada to Southampton England. The Cruise went north from Vancouver on June 20th, 2019 to various ports in Alaska, California, Mexico Guatemala, Panama Canal Transit, Aruba, Florida, Halifax, Newfoundland, Iceland, Scotland.
