Yorktown at Chelsea Pier in New York At about 10:00 PM on 5/23/2012 - the Yorktown sailed from Chelsea Piers in Manhattan enroute to Gloucester, Massachusetts for the start of her Maiden Voyage. The Yorktown sailed down the Hudson River, around the tip of Manhattan; Though Long Island Sound; through the Cape Cod Canal and up the Massachusetts Coast. The Yorktown is expected to arrive in Gloucester around 11 PM this evening (5/24/2012). The Luna belongs to billionaire Roman Abramovich who has a significant list of large luxury yachts. Launched in October 2009, the Luna was delivered to her owners on April 10, 2011 by Lloyd Werft and Stahlbau Nord Shipyards.  The 377 foot long ship incorporates an extremely luxurious and innovative design.
