In an odd turn of events - Royal Caribbean's Explorer of the Seas pulled into Cape Liberty, Bayonne, New Jersey bow first on May 19, 2012. The Explorer of the Seas normally turns around mid-river upon arrival and backs down the channel.

Under this circumstances, the Explorer of the Seas sailed early at 3:50 PM and backed out of the cruise terminal to mid-river and turned around in the blazing NY/NJ sun - providing a great photo opportunity.

Royal Caribbean's Explorer of the Seas sails on 5 and 7 day cruises to Bermuda as well as 9-Day Caribbean /Bahamas Cruises.

The Explorer or the Seas sails year-round from Cape Liberty sailing longer cruises during the Winter months to the deep Caribbean.

Hutrigruten's Fram Make a Number Of Calls In NYC Sailing to New England & Canada

Hurtigruten's Exploration Ship Fram - Has a number of Sailing From New York in 2018 and 2019 Hurtigruten's Exploration Vessel Fram arrived in New York this past Saturday (4/14) to embark passengers on a Spring, Exploration, New England Canada Cruise. The 12,000 ton, 374 foot long, Ice Certified vessel, carries 317 passengers usually traveling in Antarctic and Arctic Polar Regions.  On April 22 the Fram will sail on a 9 Day cruise from Halifax to New York Hurtigruten's Fram New England Canada Cruise From Halifax to New York. Update On Anthem of the Seas.

Royal Caribbean's Anthem of the Seas return to Cape Liberty Bayonne at 5:45 PM today. UPDATE TO THE POST EARLIER TODAY. The Celebrity Summit was turned around in record time today - dropping her ropes from the pier in Cape Liberty Cruise Terminal in Bayonne, NJ at about 4:50 PM. This departure was some 7 hours after arriving. In those 7 hours, 3,000+ people disembarked, their luggage was unloaded, food and supplies were on-boarded, all cabins were stripped, linens washed, beds made fresh, 3,000+ new Passengers embarked, their luggage was put onboard, fuel loaded and exterior maintenance was performed on the ship. As she left Cape Liberty, the Celebrity Summit hooked a right hand turn heading torward the Verarazano Bridge and passing the stationary Anthem of the Seas - which spent most of her day hovering between Brooklyn and Staten Island.
