Possibility of New Channel at NCL's Great Stirrup Cay

Norwegian Cruise Line's Private Island Norwegian Cruise Line is looking at the possibility of dredging a new channel at its private island in the Bahamas, Great Stirrup Cay. Guests get ashore by tender at the island, but when winds are strong, generally from the southeast, rough seas periodically result in a canceled port call. A solution would involve approaching the island from a direction not so affected by the southeast wind. No decision has been made yet.
