Carnival Cruises Airship to Comes to the Northeast to Celebrate the Inaugural Season of the Carnival Sunrise in New York.

Carnival Cruise Line’s #ChooseFun AirShip is heading east to celebrate the start of summer and the New York debut of the totally transformed Carnival Sunrise, kicking off its month-long tour with an appearance at the ship’s official naming ceremony at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal on May 23.   Over the subsequent four weeks, the 128-foot-long AirShip will visit locations across all five New York boroughs, New Jersey and Philadelphia, flying over many popular landmarks and events. AirShip’s first week will include visits to Manhattan, Queens and Brooklyn followed by classic summer vacation hot spots Fire Island, Coney Island and Staten Island for Memorial Day weekend, and a week in Long Island. There will be welcoming festivities including an official naming session for the ship. The Carnival Sunrise was previously the Carnival Triumph which was totally renovated and re-emerged as the Carnival Sunrise. After spending approximately $200 Million dollars on the ships refurbishment - she is very much a new ship. The ship's refit was completed in March and she sailed from Spain to Norfolk - where the Carnival Sunrise made a series of cruises to Bermuda and Florida / the Bahamas. Carnival Sunrise Completes Spring Season Fron Nirfolk

Today Carnival Cruises' Carnival Sunrise has completed its spring season cruises from Norfolk on 5/22. She will disembark her passengers early on Wednesday morning and sail empty to New York and arrive in New York on Thursday morning. In New York, there will be a naming ceremony on 5/23 for the  Carnival Sunrise. She will sail on her maiden voyage from New York on May 23rd which is a four day cruise to Bermuda. Following this cruise, she will be sailing on a 14 day Caribbean cruise from the Big Apple. Blount Adventure Cruises - Boutique Cruise Ship Grande Caribe. On Friday I saw a number of ships in unique positions. Royal Caribbean’s Adventure of the Seas was heading toward Cape Liberty Bayonne, NJ after completing a repositioning cruise in the Caribbean. She is arriving in New York to start her Spring, Summer and Fall cruise season and departed New York on Friday (5/17/19) on an 8-day Bermuda and Bahamas cruise. Her New York / New Jersey cruise season will include cruises to Bermuda, the Bahamas, the Caribbean, Florida, Bahamas and   New England / Canada. At the same time, the Adventure of the Seas was heading to New York, the small cruise ship American Constitution of American Cruise Line was heading toward Boston for a series of New England / Canada Cruises before sailing to New York for a series of Fall Foliage Hudson River Cruises. The small ship carries approximately 175 guests in oversized suites. Focus of these cruises is on education and port exploration.

Royal Caribbean's Anthem of the Seas return to Cape Liberty Bayonne at 5:45 PM today. UPDATE TO THE POST EARLIER TODAY. The Celebrity Summit was turned around in record time today - dropping her ropes from the pier in Cape Liberty Cruise Terminal in Bayonne, NJ at about 4:50 PM. This departure was some 7 hours after arriving. In those 7 hours, 3,000+ people disembarked, their luggage was unloaded, food and supplies were on-boarded, all cabins were stripped, linens washed, beds made fresh, 3,000+ new Passengers embarked, their luggage was put onboard, fuel loaded and exterior maintenance was performed on the ship. As she left Cape Liberty, the Celebrity Summit hooked a right hand turn heading torward the Verarazano Bridge and passing the stationary Anthem of the Seas - which spent most of her day hovering between Brooklyn and Staten Island. Royal Carubbean's Anthem of the Seas awaiting free berth after Medical Emergency Delays ship's arrival - May 19,2019 Royal Caribbean's Anthem of the Seas arrived in New York 1 day late after having to make an unexpected stop in Nassau in the Bahamas, The unanticipated stop was due to a medical emergency which had the ship making the stop between calls at Labadee, Haiti (Private Beach) and New Yoprk / New Jersey. The Anthem of the Seas was supposed to arrive in New York on Friday but was delayed until 10:50 PM on Saturday night. Passengers spent the night onboard alongside Cape Liberty, NJ and disembarked at 6:00 AM on Sunday (Today). The Celebrity Summit, of Celebrity Cruises, was supposed to arrive in New York at 7:00 AM Sunday but slowed down significantly from Bermuda to New York to allow the Anthem to disembark passengers first at the terminal.
