Cruise Ships in the Northeast Avoid Strong Storms

Anthem of the Seas in New York City in Calmer Weather   Today (Wednesday) 11/20/2019 Royal Caribbean's Anthem of the Seas is headed back to New York after spending the day in Coco Cay in the Bahamas. The Anthem is sailing on an 8 Day cruise which only visited the private island. This was reported on Monday here at NYCruiseInfo.com A strong storm has wreaked havoc on the northeast US causing cruise passengers and cruise lines scrambling for a path forward. A strong nor’easter has come up the coast of the United States  stranding ships departing from New York and Baltimore in port. The storm was situated between their departure port and their desired destination of Florida and the Bahamas.  Royal Caribbean’s Anthem of the Seas was supposed to depart Cape Liberty on Saturday 11/16/2019 but remained in port until Monday morning at about 10:30 AM. Norwegian Cruise Line's New Norwegian Encore - Showcased to the Media and Travel Agents in New York City - Ship headed to Miami. On Wednesday 11/13/2019, Norwegian Cruise Line's newest ship, the Norwegian Encore left New York Pier 88 at 11:05 AM. The ship  has been in New York since its arrival late Sunday afternoon after a rendezvous with her sister ship Norwegian Escape. The Norwegian Encore played host to select Media and travel personnel in order for visitor to experience the onboard experience. The Norwegian Encore features a GO Cart Roadway and also a laser tag course. From a dining perspective, the ship offers many included and some additional fee restaurants. The Norwegian Encore in on her way - empty - crew only - and is heading to Miami, where she will be further showcased and christened by her godmother Kelly Clarkson. After inaugural events, the Norwegian Encore will sail 7 Day cruises from Miami. She is expected to arrive the morning of  Friday, November 1
