Carnival Maritime's State of the Art Fleet Operations Center - Ship tracking, efficiency, data collection and analysis Health, environment, safety and security (HESS) is paramount to our business and our Fleet Operations Centers (FOC) are an essential component of our HESS strategy. A first in the cruise industry, our FOCs are designed to assist our captains, chief engineers, and deck and engineering officers with support, control and planning of ship nautical and technical operations. We have three regional FOCs in operation. The first FOC was opened in Hamburg, Germany in 2015, the second was opened in Seattle, U.S. in 2016 and the third was opened in Miami, U.S. in 2018. Carnival Cruise Lines Planning a Limited Return to Service August 1st, 2020 Carnival Cruises says it is planning to resuming limited service beginning August 1. Due to  limited customer demand combined with operationalizing its new sterilization and shipboard cleansing policies - Carnival's August  start up will include 8 ships from the following ports:  Galveston: Carnival Dream, Carnival Freedom and Carnival Vista. Miami: Carnival Horizon, Carnival Magic and Carnival Sensation. Port Canaveral: Carnival Breeze and Carnival Elation. The balance of the  North American and Australian homeport cruises will be cancelled through August 31 and plans post 8/31 will be announced once determined. Norwegian Cruise Line's New Norwegian Encore - Showcased to the Media and Travel Agents in New York City - Ship headed to Miami. On Wednesday 11/13/2019, Norwegian Cruise Line's newest ship, the Norwegian Encore left New York Pier 88 at 11:05 AM. The ship  has been in New York since its arrival late Sunday afternoon after a rendezvous with her sister ship Norwegian Escape. The Norwegian Encore played host to select Media and travel personnel in order for visitor to experience the onboard experience. Norwegian Getaway Arrives in New York For a Series of Bermuda and Florida/Bahama Cruises. This morning Norwegian Cruise Line's Norwegian Getaway is expected to arrive in New York at around 9:00 AM. She departed Miami on 4/7/2019 with no passengers en-route to NYC. The ship has not been in New York since its maiden voyage in January / February 2014.. The Norwegian Getaway will conduct a four day cruise to Bermuda and also a seven day Florida -Bahamas Cruise from New York, before re-positioning to Europe for the summer season.
