Norwegian Jade Sails A Single Cruise to New York in November 2020


I was reviewing the cruise schedule from New York and noticed that a sailing for the Norwegian Jade in November was missing from my cruise schedule.


I went to the Norwegian Cruise Line Website and noticed there was no mention of the Norwegian Jade's Transatlantic Voyage from Rome, Italy on October 31 visiting Livorno, Florence-Pisa, Italy; Cannes, France Riviera; Barcelona, Spain; Palma de Mallorca, Mallorca; Majorca Island, Spain; Malaga, Spain; Cadiz, Spain; Portimao, Portugal; Lisbon, Portugal; Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel Island, Azores; Kings Wharf Bermuda and New York - where the Cruise ends on November 18th,

The is no mention of any additional sailing from New York and the Norwegian Jade reappears in New York 4 Days later in Tampa, Florida.

I assume the ship will sail empty from New York on November 18th or 19th - arriving in Tampa  2-3 Days later.

Where will Cunard Operate the Queen Mary 2 when Cunard resumes sailing?  It is predicted that most cruises lines will favor shorter cruises with limited days at sea. Italian Line's Sleek and Modern Ocean Liner Michelangelo and Raffaello. The final two new liners built for the Italian Line, the Michelangelo (April, 1965) and Raffaello (1965) were the luxurious, sleek, modern liners using many new construction materials. Atlantic Container Lines (ACL) Suspends Passenger Operations For The Remainder Of The Year.

Atlantic Container Line's G4 Container Ship Suspend Passenger Operations Due to COVID Restrictions On Friday May 22, 2020, Atlantic Container Line's (ACL) parent company Grimaldi Lines announced that “it has been decided to suspend passenger service on ACL, G4 Container vessels until the end of 2020.” After several weeks of valiantly trying to maintain its weekly passenger service between Hamburg, Antwerp, Liverpool, Halifax, New York and Baltimore, complications caused by Covid-19 have finally made it impossible to continue to offer passenger service. The Grimaldi Group stated  that many affected passengers have already re-booked for 2021. Those recently impacted by the announcement are now being contacted to move their reservation . The five ACL ships carry 12 passengers each and offer an annual capacity of 600 passengers in each direction.
