Norwegian Cruise Line Announced that the Norwegian Dawn will Sail from New York in 2019. The Norwegian Dawn will replace the Norwegian Gem from Manhattan.

Carnival Cruises' Carnival Sunrise Arrives in Fort Lauderdale for Winter Cruises to the Bahamas After completing her 2019 cruise season from New York and a short stent in Norfolk, Virginia, the Carnival Sunrise has arrived in Fort Lauderdale - her new home-port for the winter. The totally transformed Carnival Sunrise arrived in her new home-port of Fort Lauderdale on 10/28/2019 to launch a schedule of four- and five-day Caribbean and Bahamas cruises from Port Everglades. Today’s voyage – a sold-out five-day cruise to Ocho Rios and Grand Cayman – marks the first of nearly 40 departures from Fort Lauderdale through May 2, 2020. The ship’s inaugural call at Port Everglades was marked with a traditional maritime plaque exchange with port and government officials, as well as a reception and lunch for local dignitaries and travel agents. Royal Caribbean's Earnings Call - Royal Caribbean May Sell Off Older Ships.

  Empress of the Seas is One of the Royal Caribbean Ships At Risk Of Being Sold In a recent earnings call Royal Caribbean Group announced that they are indeed looking at possibly shedding older ships in addition to the Sovereign and Monarch (ex Monarch of the Seas and Sovereign of the Seas) which were recently beached in Alaiga, Turkey. Royal Caribbean has announced that the 3rd ship in the Pullmantur fleet - the Zenith - which sailed for many years from New York to Bermuda for Celebrity Cruises - will most likely be scrapped. The Zenith is laid up in Lavrio Greece.  Just as a side note the Zenith was supposed to be chartered/purchased by Peaceboat,org for world wide peace missions. She was supposed to sail along side the Ocean Dream (originally built as Carnival Cruises' Tropicale). Based on the announcement above it is unclear which ship(s) Peaceboat will operate in 2021.
