Rumors Circulating Carnival May Sell Off Brands.   Rumors are circulating that Carnival Corporation is looking for a buyer for Cunard Line and Seabourn Cruises. Although Carnival denies the rumor, it is expected that both cruise lines will find it hard to rebound from the Coronavirus pause in operations.  Both cruise lines attract older and wealthier clientele who will be more likely to stay away from cruising until they feel it is safe to return. The pressure will be on these cruise lines to assure they have  all the safety precautions in place to assure passengers remain virus free. Other Carnival brands that attract older passengers include Holland America and Princess Cruises. As part of Carnival's plan to shed older ships and raise cash - the Holland America fleet was extensively reduced. Only time will tell if the rumors are true. Coronavirus Wreaks Havoc on the Cruise Industry as Passengers Want to Limit Exposure. The Coronavirus is wreaking havoc on the cruise industry. Here is the latest developments. Princess Cruises’ Grand Princess is sailing in circles off the coast of San Francisco California with 3,500+ Passengers and   crew, while the United States Government is trying to locate a non-commercial port to dock the ship and let off passengers and crew off into a quarantine facility onshore. Princess Cruises Sea Princess Makes A One Time Call in New York as part of  her 2019 World Cruise. Princess Cruises' Sea Princess made a unique multi-day stay in New York on July 20th and 21st. The mid-size Sea Princess was calling at New York as part of a 107 Day around the world cruise which left Auckland, New Zealand on May 10, 2019. First was Princess Cruises Sun Princess arriving in New York Friday Night as part of her World Cruise. Passengers were treated to two glorious days in New York. The Weather was perfect - Sunny, dry and clear making the stay enjoyable.
