Indoor Parking Garage Opens At Cape Liberty Cruise Terminal.

Image
Cape Liberty Cruise Terminal, Bayonne, New Jersey, Parking Garage Although this happened in October of last year, I really did not mention it on the main website (www.NYCruiseInfo.com) nor this blog. The multi-tiered parking garage at Cape Liberty Cruise Terminal in Bayonne is now officially opened. No longer will passengers be directed to the large, open lots directly across the street from the cruise terminal. The parking garage eliminates concerns for winter travel when snow and the elements can make digging out your car a quick return to reality. America's Cup Delays Norwegian Cruise Line's Norwegian Gem Departure.

Image
Norwegian Cruise Line's Norwegian Gem Sailing From New York to Florida and the Bahamas 5/7/2016 - Norwegian Cruise Line's Norwegian Gem pulled away from Pier 88 at 4 PM right on schedule to only sit idle in the middle of  the Hudson River waiting the completion of an America Cup Race. It was quite unusual that the Norwegian Gem had two tug boats to help  her from the pier and then hold her in position while the race completed. The race was occurring about 2 miles down river from the Norwegian Gem, where 100+ boats had the lower harbor impassable. The Norwegian Gem sat in position for about 20 minutes awaiting clearance and then proceeded on her 7-dayFlorida and Bahamas cruise Return to NYCruiseInfo.com Related Links ------------------- NYCruiseInfo.com - Free information on Cruises Departing from New York and New Jersey. Fred Olsen Balmoral Visits New York - Push to Increase US Cruise Passengers.

Image
Fred Olsen caters primarily to UK cruise passengers and would like to source more passengers from the United States. In order to increase media attention, Fred's Olsen's US public relations team  turned to social media - Announcing an open press event on attendnyc.com. Here is the announcement. May 4 Wed 1 pm High tea on the liner Balmoral at Manhattan Cruise Terminal 711 12th Ave, at 48th street One of those familiar but very occasional outbreaks of shipboard illness among a handful of passengers aboard this British cruise ship prevented the assembled travel hacks from actually boarding the HMS Balmoral docked beside them at Pier 90 at 50th Street on Manhattan’s West Side, though they could appreciate its timber guard rail toppings and other signs of being a real ship rather than a floating castle which Americans now compete to build ever more gigantic, with new ones planned which will approach 5000 passenger capacity next year. But if you want to cru...
