Princess Cruises Sea Princess Makes A One Time Call in New York as part of  her 2019 World Cruise. Princess Cruises' Sea Princess made a unique multi-day stay in New York on July 20th and 21st. The mid-size Sea Princess was calling at New York as part of a 107 Day around the world cruise which left Auckland, New Zealand on May 10, 2019. The Sea Princess proceeded to make a number of calls in Australia, heading toward Singapore, Sri Lanka, the Middle East (UAE, Dubai. Oman, Jordan), through the Suez Canal to Malta, Spain, England, Holland, Latvia, Germany, England, Scotland, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Canada and finally New York. The 77,500 ton ship with a crew of 900 and 2,400 passengers visited the Big Apple during one of the hottest spells in the last decade - experiencing temperatures in the high 90's which a fell like above 100 degrees when factoring in the humidity - but the days were sunny and glorious. Three Cruise Ships Arrive In the Port of New York and New Jersey Amist Harbor Hustle and Bustle.

Celebrity Summit - Sails from New York to New England & Canada  and/or Bermuda Sunday was a busy morning in the port of New York and New Jersey with three cruise ships, 2 military ships and 3 container ships arriving in the wee hours of the morning. The Norwegian Escape arrived from a week long sailing to Bermuda, Her arrival time was about 4:30 AM at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal. Arriving at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal at around 6:00 AM was Cunard Line's Queen Mary 2 returning from a New England, Canada Cruise. Finally the Celebrity Summit was slightly delayed with her arrival at Cape Liberty Cruise Terminal,  Bayonne, New Jersey - pulling along side around 7:15 AM. The ship was arriving from a 7 Day Cruise to Bermuda. The Celebrity Summit was delayed due to the arrival of the USNS Watkins which was being eased into the dry-dock at the Bayonne Drydock and Repair facility located at the end of the Cape Liberty Peninsular. Carnival Cruises Expands Cruises to Bermuda in 2020 - Adding Sailings From New York, Charleston, Fort Lauderdale, and Baltimore. For its 2019/2020 season, Carnival Cruise Line will offer more than 40 cruises to Bermuda -- a record number for the line -- with eight of the sailings departing from either Baltimore or Charleston. Six ships -- Carnival Breeze, Carnival Magic, Carnival Pride, Carnival Radiance, Carnival Sunshine and Carnival Sunrise -- will set sail between now and next year on four- to nine-night cruises to Bermuda from five eastern seaboard homeports: Baltimore, Charleston, New York, Fort Lauderdale and Port Canaveral (Orlando). Carnival Pride will sail seven weeklong cruises out of Baltimore that spend three nights each in Bermuda. Carnival Sunshine, which sails year-round from Charleston as of May 2019, will offer one voyage to Bermuda that spends two nights there with one on private island Princess Cays. Norwegian Escape Speeds to Bermuda.

  Norwegian Cruise Line's Norwegian Escape Speeds Toward Bermuda and Arrives off island 1 Day Ahead of Schedule. During the Norwegian Escape's cruise to Bermuda which departed New York on 7/1/2019, the ship arrived off the coast of Bermuda a full day ahead of schedule. It was unclear whether there was a medical emergency or the ship sped up to avoid a storm.    The Norwegian Escape arrived off of St. Georges Bermuda  around 2:00 PM on Tuesday Bermuda time. The ship came in as it was a normal approach to dock at Kings Wharf but then diverted back out to sea - sailing further west toward Europe. Keel-Laying Ceremony Held for Mardi Gras Set to Debut in Europe in August 2020

  Artists Rendering of Carnival Cruises' Mardi Gras Currently Under Construction at Meyer Turku Yard.   Pink Sand Beached of Bermuda Attract Cruise Passengers As Cuba is Off Limits.  Since the United States Government has banned travel to Cuba, many cruise unes are scrambling to find substitute cruise ports to replace the island nation. Since Cuba was a port frequented mostly on 4 and 5 day cruises. Cruise lines are looking for available ports in destintation close to Florida for these shorter cruises. Carnival Cruises is looking to substitute Cuba with ports like, Freeport, Bahamas; Turks and Caicos and Half Moon Cay in the Bahamas (Holland Americas Private Island).  With this said, Carnival has also juggling visits to the these ports from other locations to free up slots for other ships. A prime example is that the Carnival Pride, sailing from Baltimore, was supposed to call at Freeport in the Bahamas; Turks and Caicos and Half Moon Cay, but those cruises have been replaced with cruises to Bermuda.
