The Norwegians Are Coming !!!! Norwegian Pearl and Norwegian Jade Arrive in New York Today with a Number of Firsts.

Today marked the maiden arrival of the highly rated Norwegian Pearl in New York arriving in the port at around 9:30 AM. The Norwegian Pearl made her way to the Manhattan Passenger Ship Terminal preparing to sail on a 10 Day cruise to Bermuda, Florida, Bahamas and Norwegian's private island - Great Stirrup Cay. On April 28th the Norwegian Pearl will return to New York, and prepare to sail on a 12-day Transatlantic voyage departing from New York (New York); and sailing to Cork (Cobh) (Ireland); Dublin (Dun Laoghaire) (Ireland); Le Havre (Paris) (France); Tilbury (London) (England); Brussels / Bruges (Zeebrugge) (Belgium); Disembark Amsterdam (Netherlands) where the cruise ends.

Shortly after the Norwegian Pearl arrived in New York, the Norwegian Jade sailed into the harbor at aorund 10:30 AM docking in Brooklyn New York. The Norwegian Jade left Miami late Tuesday Night empty and sailed to New York in preparation for her 10 Day cruise. The Norwegian Jade's docking in Brooklyn marks the first time a Norwegian Cruise Line ship has docked in Brooklyn. Perhaps NCL is trying out the terminal for future sailings.
The Norwegian Jade will again depart from Brooklyn on a 14 night Transatlantic voyage departing from Brooklyn (New York) on April 28th sailing to; Ponta Delgada (Azores); Lisbon (Portugal); Seville (Cadiz) (Spain); Barcelona (Spain); Cannes (France); Florence/Pisa (Livorno) (Italy); Disembark Rome where the cruise ends.
