Travel Dynamics Yorktown Sailed From New York

Yorktown at Chelsea Pier in New York At about 10:00 PM on 5/23/2012 - the Yorktown sailed from Chelsea Piers in Manhattan enroute to Gloucester, Massachusetts for the start of her Maiden Voyage. The Yorktown sailed down the Hudson River, around the tip of Manhattan; Though Long Island Sound; through the Cape Cod Canal and up the Massachusetts Coast. The Yorktown is expected to arrive in Gloucester around 11 PM this evening (5/24/2012). Travel Dynamic's Yorktown Makes a Surprise Visit to New York

Travel Dynamic's Yorktown at Chelsea Piers. Travel Dynamics new ship Yorktown made a surprise visit to New York this past weekend. Arriving Saturday (5/19/2012) and docking at Chelsea Piers in Manhattan, the ship was revealed to travel agents and the media. The Yorktown's first published sailing is from Gloucester Mass (on 5/24/20120 to Montreal Canada in 13 days. The Yorktown will sail through the Great Lakes for the majority of the summer, then fall-foliage cruises, Hudson River Cruises, Southeast US Coast, Mississippi River and Mayan Cruises. Built in Florida in 1988 specifically for coastal cruising and certified by the U.S. Coast Guard, the Yorktown flies the American flag and is staffed by friendly and experienced American officers and crew. 257 feet long, 43 feet wide, with a draft of 8 feet, the Yorktown is able to maneuver in secluded waterways and visit small ports that are inaccessible to larger vessels.
