Norwegian Cruise Line's New Norwegian Encore - Showcased to the Media and Travel Agents in New York City - Ship headed to Miami. On Wednesday 11/13/2019, Norwegian Cruise Line's newest ship, the Norwegian Encore left New York Pier 88 at 11:05 AM. The ship  has been in New York since its arrival late Sunday afternoon after a rendezvous with her sister ship Norwegian Escape. The Norwegian Encore played host to select Media and travel personnel in order for visitor to experience the onboard experience. The Norwegian Encore features a GO Cart Roadway and also a laser tag course. From a dining perspective, the ship offers many included and some additional fee restaurants. The Norwegian Encore in on her way - empty - crew only - and is heading to Miami, where she will be further showcased and christened by her godmother Kelly Clarkson. As Carnival Sunrise makes her debut following her $200 million transformation, Carnival Cruise Line announced today that Kelly Arison, daughter of Carnival Corporation Chairman Micky Arison and his wife Madeleine, will serve as godmother for the ship at an invitation-only ceremony in New York on May 23. In what is sure to be a touching moment, Kelly will step into the godmother role previously held by her mother when the ship first entered service as Carnival Triumph, in 1999.
