Carnival Cruises' Carnival Sunrise Arrives in Fort Lauderdale for Winter Cruises to the Bahamas After completing her 2019 cruise season from New York and a short stent in Norfolk, Virginia, the Carnival Sunrise has arrived in Fort Lauderdale - her new home-port for the winter. The totally transformed Carnival Sunrise arrived in her new home-port of Fort Lauderdale on 10/28/2019 to launch a schedule of four- and five-day Caribbean and Bahamas cruises from Port Everglades. Today’s voyage – a sold-out five-day cruise to Ocho Rios and Grand Cayman – marks the first of nearly 40 departures from Fort Lauderdale through May 2, 2020. The ship’s inaugural call at Port Everglades was marked with a traditional maritime plaque exchange with port and government officials, as well as a reception and lunch for local dignitaries and travel agents. Carnival Cruises Adds Cruises to Bermuda from Charleston, Fort Lauderdale Baltimore and Expands NY Sailings. Carnival Cruise Line will operate its largest Bermuda season ever in 2019-2020, with more than 40 voyages visiting the nation, including eight week-long cruises departing from Baltimore and Charleston next year. In total, six different Carnival ships – Carnival Breeze, Magic, Pride, Radiance, Sunshine and Sunrise – will offer four- to nine-day Bermuda cruises from five homeports along the eastern seaboard between now and next year. Carnival is the only cruise operator to offer round-trip Bermuda cruises from Charleston, Port Canaveral and Fort Lauderdale. Carnival Cruises Expands Cruises to Bermuda in 2020 - Adding Sailings From New York, Charleston, Fort Lauderdale, and Baltimore. For its 2019/2020 season, Carnival Cruise Line will offer more than 40 cruises to Bermuda -- a record number for the line -- with eight of the sailings departing from either Baltimore or Charleston. Six ships -- Carnival Breeze, Carnival Magic, Carnival Pride, Carnival Radiance, Carnival Sunshine and Carnival Sunrise -- will set sail between now and next year on four- to nine-night cruises to Bermuda from five eastern seaboard homeports: Baltimore, Charleston, New York, Fort Lauderdale and Port Canaveral (Orlando). Carnival Pride will sail seven weeklong cruises out of Baltimore that spend three nights each in Bermuda. Carnival Sunshine, which sails year-round from Charleston as of May 2019, will offer one voyage to Bermuda that spends two nights there with one on private island Princess Cays.
