Norwegian Cruise Line's Norwegian Escape Delayed because of Hurricane Dorian Norwegian Cruise Line has posted this information in regard to this Sunday's Norwegian Escape Cruise from New York Norwegian Escape Norwegian Escape departed New York City on Sept. 1, 2019 for a seven-day cruise, calling to the Royal Naval Dockyard in Bermuda from Sept. 4 to 6 and returning on Sept. 8.  Due to Hurricane Dorian in the Atlantic, her return to New York will be delayed to 2 p.m. or sooner on Sept. 8. As such, Norwegian Escape’s seven-day Canada and New England voyage planned to depart on Sept. 8 from New York City, has been modified to accommodate a late check-in and delayed departure.  Check-in will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sept. 8, with a scheduled sail away at 10 p.m. Her hard working crew will certainly have their work cut out for them with a two hour period to disembark and embark passengers. Norwegian Cruise Line's Norwegian Dawn to Return to New York City in 2019 Once home ported in New York, the Norwegian Dawn will be returning to New York again in 2019. The Norwegian Dawn and Norwegian Gem will be switching home-ports with the Norwegian Gem being based in Boston in 2019. The Norwegian Gem was relocated to Boston to offer more capacity on the 7-Day Boston to Bermuda cruise route. The Norwegian Dawn will offer cruises to Florida and the Bahamas as well as New England / Canada cruises from New York during the summer months . Holland America's Zaandam Will Sail From Boston 2019 - New York Sailings Reduced. In a surprise move Holland America has decided to deploy the Zaandam on 2019 Spring/Summer New England. Canada cruises from Boston. The Zaandam is larger than the prior ship deployed on the route measuring in at 61,398 tons and carries 1,432 passengers (double occupancy) and a crew of 610. The Zaandam will be joined by the Veendam and Rotterdam that will sail from Boston in the fall of 2019. The New York sailings has been cut back to 1 ship and 1 sailing. The Zuiderdam will make a 10-Day, one way voyage between New York and Quebec Canada on September 9th, 2019.
